FLOWERHORN BREWERY
Flowerhorn Brewery was set up in the summer of 2019 by two friends, Andrew and Arran. Shortly after meeting through mutual friends and both sharing a love of all things beer Andrew landed a job in a brewery and when Arran finished university 9 months later he jumped straight in to the industry as well. Each with two years experience under their belt they began picturing and developing exactly what their ideal brewery would look like. They spent some money on a homebrew kit and started brewing in Arran’s parent’s garage. It was there the first three Flowerhorn Brewery recipes were developed. Capo, Loops, and Pharmaceutical Stimulant received enough positive reviews from friends and family that they decided they were ready to jump on the big kit. Unfortunately this time they couldn’t run out and buy a brew kit so they jumped on someone else’s. Beers were brewed, fun was had, parties were partied and they decided to do some more.
After a crazy few opening months attending Abergavenny Food Festival, getting our first customers, drinking our beer on keg out of some of Cardiff’s most iconic bars were a few of the highlights. After the new year the highlights continued thick and fast as Flowerhorn released some new beers, attended their first beer festival, were included in Beer Hawk’s top 10 breweries to watch out for in 2020 box and attended their first ever Tap Takeover in Manchester! All that crazy stuff happened before March 22nd, after that the country went in to lockdown and we still had plenty of beer that needed to be drunk. We set up a delivery route to all those in need of liquid refreshment in Cardiff & Newport, as well as Swansea & Bristol sometimes. Before we knew it around came our first birthday and we celebrated by picking up the keys to our brand new unit at the Bridge Studios. Currently we’re waiting for our bespoke 5bbl kit to be manufactured and delivered and in the meantime we’re continuing creating and innovating with new styles and flavours ready to serve to you in our future taproom. Until then we’ll continue to bring beers directly to you via the Flowerhorn Beer Delivery Service. Get out and support local venues where possible, where not order beers straight to your doorstep.
